The CFP® mark is owned and administered by CFP Board. Here’s how the program works: You successfully complete an educational program covering 89 learning points as defined by CFP Board. At The American College, that’s a six course curriculum, with exams after each one. After successful completion, you’ll be eligible to sit for the CFP® comprehensive examination, which is offered three times a year. It’s a tough test – and just over 50% of students pass on their first try. But if you study with The American College and earn “A’s” on our courses, you have over a 90% chance of passing the comprehensive exam.
